Sales Engineer
San Francisco•In-person, six days a week•Full-time
$180,000 – $240,000 base + variable+ 0.10% – 0.30% equity
Sales Engineers at Standard Works partner with our Account Executives to run technical evaluations with litigation and litigation-support teams at law firms. You'll lead demos, scope pilots, write SOWs, and own the technical conversation through close.
You'll work closely with engineering — both feeding back what you learn in evaluations and pulling in implementation help when deals require it.
What you'll do
- •Run product demos and technical deep-dives with litigation support, IT, and partner stakeholders
- •Scope and stand up pilot deployments against real customer datasets
- •Own security and procurement responses (SOC 2, data handling, IT review)
- •Partner with AEs through the full deal cycle
What we're looking for
- •You move fast — pilots stand up in days, not weeks
- •You use modern AI tooling fluently and can show a buyer how to get value from it on the spot
- •You can own a technical eval end to end without anyone hand-holding the cycle
- •Comfortable speaking the language of both engineers and litigators
- •Strong written communication; you can produce a clean SOW or security packet without anyone editing it
Bonus points
- •Prior experience selling into law firms, Big 4, or regulated industries
- •Familiarity with Relativity, Everlaw, DISCO, or similar eDiscovery platforms
- •Background in litigation support or as a paralegal
Compensation
$180,000 – $240,000 base + variable + 0.10% – 0.30% equity. Plus health, dental, vision, and a fully-stocked office in San Francisco.
